The Douglas County Museum celebrates the history of Douglas County and East Central Illinois by collecting, researching, preserving, and interpreting artifacts of historical and cultural interest.  The museum offers a variety of events you can attend.

Temporary Hours starting the week of October 14th:                Friday: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

               Saturday: Open 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each 

               month 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

TEMPORARY HOURS –
Effective Monday, October 14, the museum will be open on Fridays only 10a-4p, and Saturdays 10/19, 11/1, 11/15, and 12/21 10a-2p.

Once a new executive director begins, the museum will return to its normal business hours Monday-Friday 10a-4p and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month 10a-2p.
