MUSEUM HOURS - Effective May 19, 2025, the Douglas County will be open Monday through Friday 10:00AM-4:00Pm and  the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month 10:00AM-2:00PM, except major holidays.

The Douglas County Museum celebrates the history of Douglas County and East Central Illinois by collecting, researching, preserving, and interpreting artifacts of historical and cultural interest.  The museum offers a variety of events you can attend.
